International Bookclub & Aperitivo with Amy McIntire

We live in a small world…a very small world! English is the global language, and yet today, having a strong knowledge of English is no longer enough. We need to understand how people from different cultures think and most importantly, we need to be OPEN! In order to promote intercultural awareness and understanding, come join Amy’s English Bookclub and International Aperitivo, so we can have a multicultural exchange of ideas…through books!

Amy McIntire
Amy is currently a Professor at the Università di Pavia-Dipartimento Musicologia e Beni Culturali where she teaches English specialized for Literature and Musicology. In addition, Amy is Freelance Communications, Cultural and Strategic Consultant, assisting professionals in fields that include legal, financial, medical, real estate, architectural, fashion, art, music and business. She has both an Economics degree and Music degree from Cornell University. Having lived in the USA, Europe, Russia and throughout Asia for many years, Amy also provides intercultural expertise. In addition to being a native English speaker, Amy also speaks Italian, Japanese, Russian and Mandarin. Amy is also a trained opera singer, being the first American to earn a degree in voice from the Moscow Conservatory in Russia. Her singing performances have taken her to the Republic of Georgia,Russia, Singapore, Malaysia, France, Italy, Greece and the USA.
